as many of you already know, another user in youtube decided to re-upload our series The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Smash. As part of the necesary steps and requirements to file a formal complaint to youtube, we were asked to notify the user and ask to take down the video in question. We wrote the following letter which I would like to share with all of you so that there are no doubts about the validity of the letter or our complaints:

Dear johnovision160,

The following letter is in regard to the re-uploading of our series The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Smash. We want to let you know that we have filed a complaint on youtube against you for re-uploading our video [The Legend Of Zelda - A Link To The Smash (Part 1) ] without our permission. We have been contacted by a youtube representative who is guiding us through the necesary steps and requirements to make this complaint valid. The first step we were advised to take was to let the user we're complaining about (you), know that we're uncomfortable with him/her re-uploading our material:

"As a first step, contact the uploader regarding your concerns. You may be able to do this through our private messaging feature. Please give the user time to respond or take action to address your request. If you're unable to contact the uploader or they refuse to remove the video in question, please continue with our privacy complaint process so that we may further review the claim."

So this letter is to let you know that we do not want you taking our material and hours of work and sacrifice and re-upload it in order to gain views or subscribers, especially when you did not ask for any kind of permission from either me (Villanjo) or Djboy300. Although we are the directors and are seen on youtube as the true creators of The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Smash, the fact is that we did not work in this project alone, there are about a dozen of people more that helped with this project and that by mutual agreement have the right to be notified if any material or video itself from our series is to be shared or displayed by any other user aside from Villanjo.

What you're doing to us is unethical and we will not tolerate it, you are taking hours of work, hours of filming, hours planning and writing, hours of sacrifice that we made in order to create this series and it's just not fair. What really makes us mad is that you didn't even ask for our permission in order to re-upload our videos...maybe if you had, we would have told you that our crew (Villanjo, Djboy and others) are already making a remastered edition of our series, and that we were already done with the 3 first episodes which include voice-acting and remastered video footage. The new videos were going to be called "The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the smash (Remastered)" and the first 3 episodes were going to be broadcasted this October 31 as a Halloween celebration. All of these details were kept secret by every member of our crew and had never been disclosed to any other user in order to keep it as a surprise for our viewers and subscribers.

Once, again this letter is to let you know that we do not want you re-uploading our videos without our permission and that if you fail to respond to this letter or refuse from removing the videos in question. We will go on and file the final complaint to youtube and they will decide on the issue.
